Introduction

Objectives

After having successfully completed this course, the trainees will be able to:

•  Introduces the Airport Pavement Management Systems (APMS) principles and activities aiming to ensure the structural soundness of the pavement assets during their projected lifetime.
• Be familiar with Airport Pavement management system (APMS).
• This course also presents the new techniques for pavement inspection used in japan Airports.
• This course also presents the techniques for pavement maintenance used in japan Airports.
• Be familiar with Maintenance and Rehabilitation methods.
• Be familiar with Asphalt concrete Airfield distresses.
• Be familiar with Portland cement concrete Airfield distresses.
• Be familiar with pavement soundness evaluation and rating.
• This course also presents the evaluation techniques for pavement inspection used in japan Airports.

Prerequisite
