Course Details

Introduction

  • This Course aims to provide Aeromedical Examiners with competencies required to perform Class 1 Medical Assessment in accordance with ICAO Doc. 8984 and ECAR Part 67. 

Objectives

After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain physiology, psychology and clinical practice in relation to aerospace medicine
  • Identify the Medical Status of Class 1 Aviation professionals 
  • Identify Cockpit Environment and Assess Applicants with Physical Impairment in Relation to Cockpit Tasks
  • Evaluate Human Factors in Aviation and their effects on aviation performance
  • Analyze Incidents and accidents from the medical perspectives
  • Assess health risks related to the "tropical medicine diseases" in different geographical areas.

Prerequisite

Entry Requirements

  • Successful completion of “Aeromedical Examiner Course: Basic” 
  • English Language Proficiency level 4 OR Equivalent
