Course Details

Introduction

This course is designed for licensed  Approach Surveillance Controllers seeking to maintain high levels of operational readiness, refresh core surveillance competencies, and align local terminal procedures with updated ICAO Doc 4444 (PANS-ATM) standards. 

Objectives

• Manage departing and arriving air traffic in a surveillance radar environment to ensure safe, orderly and expeditious services.
• Acquire, decode and make proper use of meteorological information relevant to the provision of ATS.
• Develop professional attitudes to manage traffic in abnormal and emergency situations.

Prerequisite

• Trainee must complete successfully ICAO 054 Course.
• Trainee must have a valid Class 3 Medical issued by an approved Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
• Trainee should be fluent in English to the ICAO English Language Level 4 standard or good command of English equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
