Advanced Civil Aviation Security Management

Introduction

This advanced course equips aviation security leaders with the knowledge to design, implement, and oversee effective security programs in line with ICAO Annex 17 and Doc 8973.

Participants will develop expertise in risk management, quality control, crisis response, and security culture to address current and emerging threats.

The program prepares managers to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of aviation security operations at airports and airlines.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

  1. Apply ICAO Annex 17, Doc 8973 and NCASP principles to design and manage a civil aviation security program. 
  2. Lead risk assessments, threat analysis, and security audits in accordance with international standards. 
  3. Develop crisis management, contingency planning, and security culture programs for airports and operators. 
  4. Oversee compliance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of aviation security measures.
