Airport Emergency Planning And Crisis Management


Introduction

  • Airport Operators must be able to cope with an emergency occurring at the airport or in its vicinity and to minimize the impact.
  • This course investigates the importance of planning for emergency situations and of properly managing activities in crisis situations.
  • It introduces the international requirements of an Emergency Plan, discusses how to manage the press and media in crucial situations, as well as focusing on business continuity and the return to normal operations after a crisis.
  • The course provides guidance on current industry best practices within the framework of the Aerodrome Emergency Plan (AEP).
  • This course on crisis management offers participants the basics in identifying, preventing, and controlling crisis situations. Crisis management basics, from preparation to training and compliance are discussed, as are various stages of a crisis, and the need to establish a crisis management team.
