Introduction

Objectives

  • This course contains very useful knowledge that can be utilized by the engineer of airports to implement measures that will help to maintain the safety of our airports 
  • How to understand the airport maintenance tasks required for maintaining safe aircraft operation  during the landing, taxi and take-off phases.
  • Give the trainee with the basic Of Maintenance of paved, Maintenance of Unpaved Areas, Drainage and Runway Friction Assessment Program friction
  • This course also presents the common techniques for pavement inspection and maintenance, and further introduces the Pavement Management Systems (PMS) principles and activities aiming to ensure the structural soundness of the pavement assets during their projected lifetime.
