Course Objective |
• To provide awareness of significant weather phenomena in details.
• The effect of significant weather phenomena in the operation of Air Navigation and Aeronautics.
• To understand the upper wind, upper-air temperature and humidity.
• To understand the flight level and temperature of tropopause.
• To understand the wind direction/speed and flight level of the maximum wind.
• To identify meteorological information such as warnings, forecasts and METAR reports.
• To explain and discuss Meteorological charts.
• To identify the effect of weather on the different fields and especially civil aviation movements.
• To know how to prepare the global forecasts of Significant Weather (SIGWX) phenomena in digital form to users.
• To know how to coordinate with associated WMO Regional Specialized Meteorological Center (RSMC) and other MET centers. |
